The Tahoe Truckee Unified School District (TTUSD) can brag that Olympic alpine ski racer and two-time silver medalist Julia Mancuso is one of their own. And now, Mancuso is paying it forward to her hometown in partnership with Procter and Gamble, Crest & Oral-B’s “Smile with U.S.” program, which will donate a $10,000 check to TTUSD on her behalf.

As the US Hockey Team capitalized on power plays to overcome Canada in Olympic hockey, Old Man Winter made a powder play to give the Colorado ski season a major boost. A week of consistent snow in Colorado’s high country was capped off this weekend with accumulation totaling as much as 30 inches at some resorts. Double-digit snow totals could be seen throughout Colorado, from Aspen/Snowmass to Wolf Creek.
